Welcome to the Productivity Benchmarking Tool.
What is Benchmarking? Benchmarking is comparing one's business policies, products, programmes, strategies, processes and performance metrics to industry bests and best practices or standard measurements from other companies. The objectives of Benchmarking are: (1) To determine what and where improvements are called for; (2) To analyse how organisations achieve their high-performance levels; and (3) To use this information to improve performance.
The Productivity Council (TPC) has selected eighteen (18) necessary indicators of corporate performance to facilitate the benchmarking process. These indicators are estimated through the use of this tool and ultimately allow you to compare your performance with other similar entities; so long as you provide TPC with all the requisite data. The calculation of the indicators/metrics is based on a logical system of accounts, so it is imperative that all fields be completed to give the most accurate estimate possible. Please note - the tool is designed so that at any time you can save your information and return to validate and submit at your convenience.
Beyond the data, The Productivity Council intends to assist you and your firm in identifying how to reach higher levels of performance, through hard and soft investments and product and service innovations, thereby ultimately improving your competitiveness.
